Eligibility: Students in grades 4th-12th.
Registration: Online registration only, opens on Saturday January 16, at 11:00 AM until January 23, 2010. Register as early as possible, classes fill up very quickly.
Acceptance: Only 15 students are accepted in the order that the registration is received online, if the information in the application is complete and accurate. Incomplete applications will not be considered and will not reserve placement in the class. Students will be notified by January 26 of their acceptance in the program or placement in the wait list.

Drop-out Notification: CSA requests to be notified immediately if a student accepted into the program needs to drop out in order to give this opportunity to another student in the wait list. Failure to notify CSA may result in a penalty against registration for a future class.

Sandra de Nijs, "Hi everyone and welcome to the March acrylics class. This month we will be thinking of Spring, so get ready to paint nature at its best: colorful and full of new life. We will also be listening to some beautiful music written especially for this season, so get ready to mix Vivaldi and your favorite colors!"

Her artwork is selected for solo or group exhibitions at the Brevard Art Museum, the Museum of Florida Art, the Indiana State Museum, amd many others. She exhibits work at Infusion Gallery in Hawaii, and Rhonda Schaller Studio in New York.
Her acrylic paintings are contemporary, mixing abstract expressionism with figurative art.
“My goal is to paint an image that directs and controls vibrant and constructive energy. Dynamic strokes and flowing colors are balanced, precise and absolute, inspired by patterns in nature and music.”

"Watercolor is my passion. It’s such a wonderful medium : you can direct it but you can’t control it completely, nor do you want to – it’s fascinating just to flow with it and let it have its way. My paintings are built upon layers of washes."
Regine also enjoys experimenting with various techniques on canvas and in sculpture using Powertex products. She is a certified Powertex instructor and a Terry Madden watercolor instructor. Regine is looking forward to introducing her students to the wonderful world of watercolors!
Francis Miller, "I currently teach art at Annunciation Catholic Academy and have enjoyed being an art instructor for twenty years. I create and exhibit sculpture in Orlando. I enjoy helping students know the fundamental truth that we are all artists and try to dispel the myth that art is only for those students who where fortunate enough to be born with natural creativity.
I believe that through education and experience everyone can find their authentic voice to communicate through creating. This painting class is designed students at any level of experience. Students will study images of famous artists work and then create different paintings inspired by their style. I will cover the fundamentals of color theory and students will work in acrylic paint."
